Carolina Covenant Logo

Challenge


 
The Carolina Covenant, a financial aid program within The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for low-income students and families, approached UNC Creative to design a new custom logo. The logo needed to be used on a variety of applications including marketing and promotional materials (retractable banners, pens, cups, etc.), stationery and their website. The client requested a fresh, modern, energetic and timeless logotype. The logo also needed to work within the existing Office of Scholarships and Student Aid branding.

Result

Covenant ToteTo express Carolina Covenant’s mission, UNC Creative designed a modular logo which can be presented in a 4×4 or 2×8 layout. The 4×4 lockup gives the structured logo a bold, unmistakable graphic quality to appeal to the young, undergraduate audience. On the other hand, the 2×8 horizontal logo was created to be used in more formal situations involving fundraising and donor collateral. The Carolina Covenant logo uses the fonts from the Office of Scholarships and Student Aid for visual continuity, while adopting the University’s primary color palette.
